We took a chance and we were so satisfied that we made another reservation during foliage season. Everything was not only excellent, but there was charm everywhere. Best of Show goes to the 1926 Otis Elevator! It needs the desk clerk to operate it, but you'll never see it's like in another hotel. It's in perfect condition and big and comfortable.

I didn't know when I arrived, but they will give you a free gym day pass to the local Athletic Center. WiFi was good. Good restaurants nearby (tho tough on Mondays). Big Shaw's supermarket very close, easily walkable.

Location is wonderful. Staff is lovely. The property retains the old charm of a 200 year old Inn!! Be sure to check out the "West Veranda" in the evening!!

The location is superb, right in the town center. We walked to most of the places. The front desk was very polite and helpful. I booked a king bed room for two of us plus a child. She saw my daughter and offered to upgrade us to a room with a sofa bed without extra charge. What a nice guesture.

The location is great if you're visiting the town. Staff are always lovely, they even remembered us! This was our third stay in the last 7 months, and each time the sleep and comfort experiences have been great. We didn't benefit from the restaurant etc this time but the Jazz nights idea and special dinner evenings sound amazing. Hopefully will try those the next time!

Totally delightful, elegant facility. Outstanding staff and services. Comfortable rooms with excellent amenities. The ambiance is great, plus it is walking distance to the downtown area and a wonderful organic grocer. Love the feeling of history not only in the Inn, but the surroundings. Just a lovely experience.

The staff was very helpful. We needed an early check in time and they came through with flying colors. They said they would try and get us in by 1:30 pm and we arrived around 12:30 pm and the room was ready. How nice it was to be able to get ready for the wedding we were attending without rushing and even having time to relax a little before the event.

Really liked the historic character and decor of the hotel, all nicely restored (especially the 97-year old Elevator, which required a hotel attendent to operate manually, making it an entertaining ride!). Nice large sitting area in the lobby. The bathroom plumbing worked flawlessly, which is often not the case in old hotels.
